This week we worked on an interaction assignment. We had to make a 5 seconds hug animation of Hogarth (the kid from the film Iron Giant) ans the Sultan (Jasmin's father from Aladdin).
To make the animation more dynamic we chose to enlarge the Sultan once he is smaller than the kid. The inspiration for his size was "a Santa Claus size". I also elongate his arms in order to have a proper hug - his original arms can't reach the top of his head
The animation is rough and missing some inbetweens, but the assignment was to make just keys and breakdowns...

..ah! Gotta say that the hug is inspired by the memories of my family, specially my mother and my father. Dedicated for them too :)
